Alyssa's 11th Birthday

Last week Alyssa turned 11 I can't believe it!! We had a fun little party with family. She got lots of really cute outfits and a leg shaver (her Dad had to warm up to that idea), but she's growing up whether we like it or not, and she's turning out to be such a beautiful young lady inside and out. She is the best sister, Zachary adores her, she lets him sleep with her all the time. The little girls in the neighborhood think she's the coolest thing ever, She's always willing to play with them. I feel so lucky to have such a sweet caring daughter who is also my friend. Hope you had a great B-day We love you!!

Look at my fish!!!

Zach cought the first fish of the season when he went fishing with Grandpa J. He is so proud of his fish, and does not want to eat it, he wants to keep it forever, he keeps checking the freezer to make sure it is still there. I'm not sure if he thinks its a pet or a trophy or what. but any way, there it stays for now.

Its Great to be Eight

Cole turned 8 yesterday, celebrating with friends and family. We took he and his friends bowling after school, They had a great time (and I didn't have to entertain them, one of the easiest parties I've given) Later Grandparents came for birthday pie, Cole didn't want cake he wanted a raspberry cream pie, and Cracker chicken for dinner. His other birthday day wish was a bb gun, which came true, now he can go with Josh shooting up above the house ,very exciting (at least for him) I think he is growing up to fast it doesn't seem that long ago when I brought home a little red head from the hospital. Cole is such a joy to have in our family, all his has to do is smile and then I smile, its contageous. he's looking forward to scouts, his baptism, summer, baseball, and every thing else that comes with being 8

All he needed was a sheet....who knew

We have been struggling with Zach to sleep through the night and stay in his bed. When I was making his bed he did'nt want me to put on his fitted sheet because he wanted to sleep under it and have it touch his face, so I put on a top sheet, it was amazing there were no more monsters, snakes or mice in his bed, his knee and finger stopped hurting, and he wasn't thirsty any more. With a few exceptions he has stayed in his bed ever since. who knew the power of a sheet, this would have been good information a long time ago.
